Mornings in the Forest
Morning sun reaches the Ponderosa pine and Douglas Fir, warming their resin
Some understanding only arrives when we stop and linger. I Sat in a Place is a recurring series born from choosing to remain — sitting long enough for a place to reveal itself, and for me to become part of its rhythm. These pieces are written as transmissions of lived presence: what a landscape, a street, a room, a people, or a quiet corner discloses when one stays instead of passes through. Sometimes the most meaningful movement begins by sitting down.
“You’ve never been to a place until you’ve sat in a place.”
